Method 1: Disable the “Use Printer Offline” Option

If your computer has this setting enabled, your printer will automatically go offline. Sometimes, due to technical glitches or accidents, settings may change. Hence, you must disable this setting to get the printer back to online status.

  1. Open the Start menu on the computer, and search for Settings.

  2. On the left sidebar, select Bluetooth & Devices, and click on Printers & Scanners.

  4. Finally, select Printer at the top of the menu, and ensure the “Use Printer Offline” option is disabled.

That’s how you can uncheck the offline option on the computer to get it back online.

Method 2: Restart the Printer Spooler Service

The print spooler is a Windows feature that sends print commands to the printer in order. This feature should work correctly; otherwise, it won’t send print commands to the printer, resulting in an offline printer error. In order to fix the offline error, you need to restart the print spooler.

Method 3: Update the Samsung Printer Drivers

When the printer drivers are outdated, missing, or corrupted, it will make the printer go offline. Therefore, you must update the printer drivers to resolve the printer’s offline error.

  1. Turn on your computer and press the Windows and R keys together to open the Run box.

  2. Type devmgmt.msc in the box, and hit Enter.

  3. Now, Device Manager will be open on the computer.

  4. Check for the Print Queues option from the list, and expand it to see the options within it.

  5. Right-click on your printer model when you see it, and then select Update driver from the menu.
